creating an animatic

How do I create an animatic?
A. 1. draw storyboard frames- nice and bold, black pen if possible
2. take individual photos of each frame
3. upload the photos to the computer
4. import the photos into the edit programme
5. drop each image onto the timeline and cut to the required length
6. put music or other sound on the audio timeline
7. add titles or effects/transitions as required
8. export to quicktime and upload to youtube or vimeo
9. embed the video onto the blog or save it to a CD

Change of production name

We have discussed and have decided to change our production company name from 'Pizza Planet Productions'
to 'Swift Getaway'  because it seems more relevant to our chosen genre.

A logo for 'Swift Getaway' is in process of creation

what i have learnt and planning

I have learnt that to perform a small scene, a lot of preparation is needed, all including creating/ordering props, making a time-line/script/storyboard. making a set and dressing it up to create a genuine looks. I have learnt that creating this sequence involves looking into the cinematography, editing and camera shooting side of the filming, and the importance of the use of editing, and the effects it can make to the viewer. including sound (diegetic and non-diegetic) to create the scene more genuine. we will use editing as an advantage as some resources are unable to us. For example we are unable to make the small explosion from a gun shot, so we will have to edit it in. Using sound effects/SFX will will create gun shots sound more realistic.

Prop research

For general research i have found these fake cigars which we can use in the film to create the 'gangster' look more genuine. we will place the box of cigars on the table, ready to be used in the scene where the waiter passes them round. i found them at http://www.jokingaround.co.uk/ProductsDetails.aspx?item_id=3787 for the price of a £1.
